It’s one of the most famous cities in the world, the home of Hollywood blockbusters, Disneyland and a coastline of beautiful beaches. And now there’s a new reason to visit Los Angeles. Dirt. Cheap. Flights.

United Airlines has direct flights from Sydney to Los Angeles from $674 return. That’s $337 each way for a nearly 14-hour flight. Hooray for Hollywood!

“This is the cheapest flight to Los Angeles from Australia that I have seen. What makes it even better is that it is direct – other cheap deals have flown via New Zealand, Fiji and even China,” says Garth Adams, founder of cheap flight specialist I Know The Pilot.

Other airlines have also jumped on the sale with Virgin Australia advertising fares from $683 return and Delta from $728. The travel dates are between April to July 2019.

United Airlines has also set its sights on Texas, slashing their direct Sydney to Houston flight down to $682 return.

This route is the second longest out of Australia (Qantas’ Perth to London flight takes top spot) taking around 15 hours 40 minutes from takeoff to landing.

United Airlines uses its 787-9 Dreamliners for its Australian routes, with features that include larger windows, better air quality to help reduce jet lag and quieter and more fuel efficient than other aircraft.

These fares are expected to sell out fast.
