If you thought all the action from Splendour in the Grass was happening at the official grounds of the festival, think again.
Because the annual bash held by Melbourne-born brand Nana Judy was the only place the festival’s “A-listers” wanted to be seen over the weekend, travelling far and wide to get on the exclusive guest list.
With scores of Ubers and private transfers bending through Byron Bay’s backstreets and through the wooden fortress-style gates leading into musician Angus Stone’s private hinterland property, the “French Riviera” themed party was filled with Australia’s Insta-famous elite.
Finding the perfect light for their curated selfies while sipping on glasses of champagne and Red Bull infused cocktails, guests were treated to a 3-metre long cheese board and a surprise performance by DJ Hayden James.
With the free booze flowing, beats pumping and gifting stations in overdrive (yes, there was a Bailey Nelson sunglasses suite for guests to take home their favourite pair of shades) — the biggest party of Splendour even saw some guests arrive at the remote property via private helicopter.
Around 200 social media influencers and friends of the clothing brand, run by Glenn Coleman, attended the event, along with models Tammy Hembrow and Gabby Epstein, Paralympian Dylan Alcott, and even musician Hayden James performed.
Each year, Nana Judy’s Splendour In The Grass event follows a similar star studded soiree at California’s Coachella Music Festival.
Back at the official grounds of the festival, attendees served up some of the raunchiest outfits seen at the annual music meet.
Known as a big event on any young fashionista’s calendar, Splendour has become one big fashion parade for the thousands of daring attendees, and the outfits this year came as no exception.
From leather pants, bottomless chaps and barely-there crops, we thought we had seen it all, but the latest trend has pushed the boundaries to a new, sexier level.
