If you’re thinking of a big European holiday but you’re put off by the cost — how does return flights to Europe for as low as $618 sound?

Scoot is selling ridiculously cheap flights to Athens from Australian cities for February to June 2020, so this could be your chance to lock something in.

The sale, on now via I Know The Pilot, is selling return flights to Athens from Perth for $618, from the Gold Coast from $638, and from Melbourne and Sydney for $658.

That’s well under $350 each way, which is insanely low for somewhere as far away as Athens.

There are a few things you’ll have to keep in mind, though.

Scoot is a low-cost carrier — a subsidiary of top-rated airline Singapore Airlines — and the fares don’t include checked baggage and in-flight meals.

Also, it’s a long way to travel with a budget airline, although reviews of Scoot’s Australia-Europe flights are pretty positive.

Importantly, the flights will include layovers in Singapore each way, so factor that into your travel plans — and have a few ideas of how to spend your time in Singapore while you’re there.
