Qantas has a launched a new Christmas promotion that will give frequent flyer members the opportunity to win a share of two-and-a-half million points.
Twenty-five Christmas elves have been let loose on the airline’s online rewards store and need to be rounded up and sent back to the North Pole.
The competition, which runs from next Monday to Friday, will gift Qantas loyalty members 100,000 points each for finding one of the mischievous elves.
“Our frequent buyers know the Qantas Rewards Store has some great finds, but a Christmas elf will hopefully bring some extra Christmas cheer this year,” a Qantas spokeswoman said.
To find one of the elves, frequent flyer members will have to scour the flying kangaroo’s online store, locate one of the elves and place it in the checkout. Successful finds will be rewarded with 100,000 points.
Points will be credited to accounts within 30 days.
Qantas said the points could be used on domestic holiday experiences in 2021 or popular products.
“Whether it’s for a holiday or the latest tech gadget, these cheeky elves are worth catching for 100,000 Qantas points,” the spokeswoman said.
For 100,000 points, you can score a twin gold cabin on the Indian Pacific Rail Expedition, or 64,000 points is enough for a return ticket for four people from Sydney to the Gold Coast.
Other retail products on the Qantas Rewards Store include Apple AirPods, watches, homewares and other electronics.
The elves will be put up on the Qantas store at random from December 14 to December 18.
